Heirlooms, Redefined

Heirlooms, Redefined

In honor of Juneteenth and Father’s Day and to mark its significance for black families across the country, “Heirlooms, Reimagined” is a 2022 New York Times Narratives Projects interactive visual essay I coauthored with Tiya Miles that responds to the work of ten black photographers tasked with documenting their family heirlooms.
