A DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities juried art exhibition celebrating the artistic legacy of George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic.

Featuring original artworks by 20 artists alongside never-before-seen archival works and memorabilia from Funkmaster George Clinton’s family collection, the exhibition showcases Washington, DC’s unique relationship with funk music, psychedelic rock, and the cultural movements they inspire.

With over 600+ attendees at the opening reception, the DC Commission on The Arts and Humanities agency worked in collaboration with Funkmaster George Clinton and his family to celebrate the artistic legacy of Parliament Funkadelic.

Installed in the gallery were the works of: 

Andrew Katz, Anna U Davis, Ashley Brown, Ashley Jaye Williams, Auguster Williams, Eugene Coles, Holly Bass, Jacqueline Bryant Campbell, James Terrell, jET Carter, Joshua Cogan, Larry Cook, Mingering Mike, Muse.Blaq, Roderick Turner, Ronald “Stozo” Edwards, Seemeen Hashem, Sophia Sterling, Tom Terrell, and Victoria Ford 

Following the formal opening of the exhibition, CAH held a panel discussion the following day with George Clinton on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, entitled "Protecting Our Legacy," as part of CAH's ongoing Business of the Arts professional development series. For more details, visit CAH’s website.
